Athanasia Kalampakidi

Athanasia is a seasoned professional in the specialty coffee industry with a passion for teaching. She has been a member of the Bar Academy training team since 2023. Her journey in coffee is defined by continuous growth, technical excellence, and a genuine contribution to shaping the next generation of professional baristas.

Her accomplishments in national competitions reflect her deep expertise and dedication:

• 1st Place – Hellenic Brewers Cup 2020
• 2nd Place – Hellenic Cup Tasters 2019
• 3rd Place – Hellenic Brewers Cup 2017

She is a certified Q Arabica Grader and, since 2024, also serves as an SCA Sensory Judge.

Alongside her role as an educator, Athanasia works as Specialty Coffee Department Executive at Area51 Coffee Roasters, contributing to blend development, quality assurance, and strategic planning.

Through her teaching, Athanasia inspires, mentors, and empowers her students—sharing not only technical expertise, but also the values and culture of specialty coffee.
