Konstantinos Kotzedakis

Konstantinos has nearly 20 years of experience in the foodservice sector. His journey began behind the bar, serving coffees and drinks without formal training but driven by a strong appetite for learning. In 2013, he was drawn into the world of specialty coffee when he worked as a barista at one of the most renowned third-wave cafés in Heraklion, Crete. There, he made his first meaningful connection with coffee, acquiring foundational knowledge and engaging in creative experimentation.

He then moved to Athens, where he further honed his technical and theoretical skills, deepened his ties with the specialty coffee community, and earned both international and domestic certifications. After completing this educational path, he returned to Crete, where he currently serves as Head of Quality Control, Research & Development, and Technical Support for two Greek and two international companies in the coffee industry.

In 2024, he gladly accepted an invitation from the Director of Bar Academy’s Crete branch to join as an instructor. He firmly believes that “knowledge is meant to be shared,” and through teaching he aims to inspire and guide the new generation of coffee professionals, grounded in experience, technical precision, and respect for the product.
